APRILIS 2022 An exceptional wine made from a unique blend of Aramon to which was added a hint of Clairette Rose and Grenache Gris grown on the 1st and 2nd geological terraces of the first foothills of Larzac, the age-old heart of Languedoc ! Soil: rounded stones and gravel, some red clays. Grapes:: 80% Aramon, 10% Clairette Rose & 10% Grenache Gris Harvest: late September-early October. Production: 40 hl/ha on average. Vinification: pressed juice, natural decanting in cold conditions, spontaneous alcoholic fermentation thanks to native yeasts followed by a spontaneous malolactic fermentation. Maturation: short ageing (a few months) in tanks. Natural decanting thanks to cold winter temperatures. Bottling: at the wine estate, without fining or filtration in order to keep the tructure of the wine unspoiled.
Eye: a superb pale pinkish colour, clear and bright Nose: small red berries: redcurrant, raspberry, wild strawberry... and quite floral... Palate: rich and full in the mouth, both fresh and mineral, with aromas of red fruits (redcurrant, raspberry, wild strawberry...) and pink grapefruit... Ageing Capacity: to be drunk when young – ageing potential of 2 to 3 years Serving Temperature: chilled 8 to 12° C Food & Wine Suggestions: to be drunk in all circumstances : apéritif as well as with vegetarian, Asian or mediterranean dishes (paëlla, couscous, tajines...), barbecues, salads or fish such as tuna and salmon... An enjoyable wine to be appreciated all year round... |
